Partner Organizations
A work in progress…
There are thousands of organizations across the South that have been doing this work for decades. And who will continue doing this work long after the March has marched through their communities. We don’t bring any special magic to register voters or raise money. What we bring is attention. Reach. Tiny little microphones that make big sound (sometimes with fuzzy tops on them).
Our goal is to give our platforms and our microphones to inspirational organizers all along the route. Identifying the right organizational partners is no small matter. So, we’re taking the time to have conversations with leaders in all five states to understand who we should work with and how we can support them.
What does that mean?
This partner organization list will grow every day. We’ll start posting these incredible partner orgs on this page in the coming week.
We are looking to the leaders in the communities to tell us which orgs to partner with and how to help them in their missions.
We want to hear from you. If you live along the route and know of an organization or organizer that’s doing great work in your community, please tell us about them!
If you are an organizational leader who has questions… here’s the nitty gritty in nonprofit jargon.
We are reaching out to c3 table leaders in the 5 states along the route. Our hope is that the c3 table advisory boards will identify organizations for us to feature (at least one per leg of the march in their state). We don’t pretend to know every organization in every state - that’s why we want to meet with organizers and learn more about what they’re doing. Our vision for partnerships is for the people doing the work to tell us how we can best support them.
Why are we going to the c3 tables? Because there are too many good organizations and not enough miles to feature them all. So, we want the folks who build the voter registration and turnout strategies for their states to tell us what will be most helpful to them.
